In 1992, The Broadbent Consultancy was appointed
by Small Luxury Hotels of the World to look after its creative needs
including the annual production of its worldwide directory.
Paul became an integral part of the marketing team with a remit to
create and maintain a Small Luxury Hotel brand across the world on
a shoestring budget.

During the 14 years Paul worked
with Small Luxury Hotels, there were significant changes to the market
composition, travel patterns, competitive pressures and technological
innovation. Despite all this, the brand prospered to the point where
the Small Luxury Hotels name has become the best recalled of all the
international hotel groups bar the conglomerate chains.
